Hi folks, Arnt Arntzen (Lloyd's grandson) typing here.
In late July of 2020, my grandfather, myself, and Jen Hodge got together and recorded a Johnny Dodds tribute album.
We were starved of playing music together after months of lockdown due to the global pandemic. From the moment we began, we knew we had done the right thing. Lloyd's beauty and force on the clarinet needs to be heard to be believed.
My grandfather has always been a comfort to me in times of trouble, and I hope his spirit, humour and music will be a soothing balm for you too. Thank you.
